Silt Trap

This is a Dam and Chamber created to catch water from a fast flowing stream to fill a LAKE.

The water in the stream was pumped around the work to keep it dry whilst we carried out the installation.

A concrete dam was created with a steel door in the middle to help stop silt build up.

A chamber was positioned to levels further up the stream which helped catch silt and debris from entering the Lake.

Concrete canvas was used to line the stream to stop erosion from the fast moving water around the sides.
