This is a large water feature re-construction project between two lakes near Bampton in Somerset.
The water was carried from one lake to another via two 600mm dia. one metre long concrete pipes which
were not jointed together properly. This over time caused the water to escape underneath them which damaged the
surface they sat on leading them to break apart further.
The rocks where the water cascaded down to the lake below was also undermined by the water washing away
the soils underneath them. This over time caused the water to wash all the soils into the lake below creating a huge problem.
We had to use a super silent 24/7 pump to pump the water down from the upper lake to the lower one. This was so that we
could keep our working area dry whilst carring out this huge project.
