New Pond & Restoration Project near Wellington.

This is the start of creating a new 20m x 23m pond constructed out of an old leaking pond and a reed bed next to it. 
The reed bed was excavated out and disposed of and the pond was pumped out of water, desilted of organic matter from leaf fall and a silage sheet removed.
The whole area was then excavated out to a new depth with marginal shelves and trimmed up smooth to accept a liner. The excavated soils were loaded away and
removed from site.
