Refurbishing a Balancing Pond

This is a job that we carried out near Wellington for Four Seasons Landscapes where we cleaned out and de-silted a balancing pond near a housing estate. It was in a dangerous condition for health and safety reasons wth the vegetaion completely over growning the pond and it had a layer of silt on the bottom full of reads. There was no wildlife in there at all. There was residual water in the bottom that had to be pumped down and then the veg and silt removered with our excavator and dumpers. The organic silt was transported to a field where it was leveeled out to regenerate.
