Large Pond - De-silting and Refurbishing

Here is a large pond we desilted and refurbished recently this year. As well as removing all of the overgrown weeds, It was also made bigger with more depth and shape in the process.

Here are some before and after photo’s of the work. The organic silt and vegetation was transported away to an adjacent field and then levelled to aid in drying out and to allow for regeneration on top.

Once the work was completed we stoped the pumps and allowed the water to refill from natural spring watercourses.
